Patty is working with a group of human rights attorneys who provide legal services to incarcerated individuals. Prisoners Legal Services also provides immigration legal services and works closely with Berkshire Farms, finding homes for displaced immigrant children. Patty is now earning excellent pay, benefits, and has her own office, overlooking the courthouse and downtown Albany,

She is thrilled at the progress she has made, thanks to WERC. In her words, “I will always be indebted to WERC. More than the workshops, training, resume reviews, and mock interviews, I am grateful for the emotional support. Without my mentor, Gloria, and this group of women, I may have given up on myself, finding my dream job, and  becoming a licensed real estate agent.”  

Patty plans to work part-time in real estate, where she will help income-qualified individuals and families find affordable housing. One of her goals is to help improve financial stability in impoverished communities and create generational wealth among new homeowners.
