
The Capital District Women''s Employment & Resource Center (WERC) is pleased to announce the addition of Terri Tuers as the new Marketing Coordinator. Terri will be replacing Diane O"Connor Easton, who retired in June after 12 years of service. She will assume many resonsibilities including overseeing the planning and implementation of WERC's marketing campaigns and spearheading WERC's fundraising initiatives in conjunction with staff and volunteers.
Previously, Terri owned her own Public Relations/Special Events firm in Albany. She also served as the New York state director for Families Against Mandatory Minimums, a Washington DC non-profit, and a program manager for the NYS Energy Research & Development Authority. Terri also started two non-profit organizations, helping Bosnian refugees in the 90's and Ukrainian refugees since 2022. She brings to WERC a diverse skill set including public relations, marketing, special events planning, development, and grant writing.
Terri is a graduate of Allegheny College (Meadville, PA) and attained credits from RPI in technical communications. She currently lives in Watervliet and has three children and seven grandchildren.
