The Capital District Women's Employment & Resource Center (WERC) is a private, not-for-profit organization that works to advance women's success in the workplace by building their economic and personal independence. The Center has provided quality workforce development services to more than 8,000 women since 1988, helping them to successfully find or improve their employment and their quality of life.
Program participants receive goal targeted workforce preparation training, computer skills training, job placement assistance, and ongoing employment follow-up and retention services. They leave the program with enhanced qualifications, skills, self-confidence, and a deep commitment to achieving excellence in their chosen workplace.
WERC partners and collaborates with employers, corporations and community based organizations throughout the Capital District. These resources continue to help the women served find and retain their employment.
