Congratulations to the 2009 Kathy Lanni Commemorative Scholarship Award Winner: Magdelene Cauthorn
SCHOLARSHIP DESCRIPTION:
One $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to a woman who meets WERC’s guidelines and submits an application by the stated deadline.
WERC’s Mission:
“To advance women's success in the workplace by building their economic and personal independence.”
WERC assists women experiencing economic transition to achieve financial and individual self-sufficiency by providing quality workforce development services.
Eligibility: To apply for the Kathy Lanni Commemorative Scholarship, an applicant must be eligible to receive services from the
Women’s Employment and Resource Center, Inc and must be attending or planning to attend an accredited educational school.
This includes any woman residing in the greater Capital District who meets the criteria as a Displaced Homemaker.
A Displaced Homemaker is someone who has lost her source of income upon the death, divorce, separation, disability, or dislocation of a spouse, or pending loss of public assistance benefits.
