The objectives of the Board of Directors and our generous volunteers, in support of WERC’s staff, drive the mission of the Capital District Women’s Employment & Resource Center (WERC). Each of us helps a woman enter, re-enter, or more meaningfully engage in the workforce. To continue this amazing work, we need as many volunteers as are willing and able to participate. Each WERC committee has volunteer openings and we would love to hear from you. Committee Purpose: Coordinate annual events ensuring events are run smoothly. This committee focuses on events that will highlight the great work of WERC and raise funds to support WERC’s programming.
Sponsorship Committee
Committee Chair (October Luncheon): Ann Reis

Committee Purpose: This committee works with three major initiatives of WERC, The First Impressions event, the Annual Fall event, and the Student Sponsorship program. The volunteers on this committee will work in an outreach capacity to assist with raising funds for one or more of these initiatives.
Employer Outreach

Committee Purpose: Share WERC’s mission with employers and relevant community associations to encourage collaboration and partnership opportunities that will result in placement of WERC’s graduates, implementation of mentoring programs, and increase financial support from employers.

The Women's Fund

Committee Purpose: Assist in support and outreach of The Women’s Fund mission with assistance for the Trailblazers fundraising event. Also help promote the Women’s Fund through Coffee & Conversation Events.
