WERC honored these community leaders who have made important contributions to the personal and professional growth of women, as well as to the region's economic vitality.
Lisa A. Frisch, Executive Director of The Legal Project, was honored with The Harriet Rifkin Leadership Award in recognition of her leadership, volunteerism, professionalism, and her work in creating opportunities for women to achieve personal and financial independence.
Carmen Duncan, Founder & CEO of Mission Accomplished Transition Services, was honored with The WERCing Woman of Achievement Award to honor this amazing woman whose career path has been filled with unique transitions, unexpected challenges, opportunities to take risks, and who serves as an excellent role model for women served by WERC.
Stewart's Shops was honored with The Advancement of Women in the WERCplace Award for this company's longstanding efforts to remove barriers that keep women from achieving financial independence and success.
