"Advancing women's success in the workplace by building their economic and personal independence."

The Women's Employment and Resource Center (WERC) helping women succeed for over 22 years!

The Women's Employment and Resource Center is a private, not-for-profit organization that works to advance women's success in the workplace by building their economic and personal independence.

The Center has provided quality workforce development services to over 4,800 women since 1988, helping them to successfully find or improve their employment and their quality of life.

Program participants receive career counseling, computer skills, workforce preparation training, job placement, and ongoing supportive follow-up.  They leave the program with enhanced qualifications, skills, self-confidence, and a deep commitment to achieving excellence in their chosen workplace.

The Center, primarily funded through the NYS Department of Labor's Displaced Homemaker Program, serves between 200 and 300 women per year from the Capital Region of New York State, including Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Columbia, and Greene counties.
