The
Capital District Women’s Employment and Resource Center,
Inc., (WERC), announces the availability of the Kathy Lanni
Commemorative Scholarship.
One
$2,500 scholarship will be awarded to a woman who meets
WERC’s guidelines and submits an application by the stated
deadline. Please read this announcement carefully as it
contains important information regarding eligibility and
submission requirements.
WERC’s
Mission: “To advance women's success in the
workplace by building their economic and personal
independence.” WERC assists women
experiencing economic transition to achieve financial and
individual self-sufficiency by providing quality workforce
development services.
Eligibility:
To apply for the Kathy Lanni Commemorative Scholarship, an
applicant must be eligible to receive services from the
Women’s Employment and Resource Center, Inc. This
includes any woman residing in the greater Capital District
who meets the criteria as a Displaced Homemaker—
A
Displaced Homemaker is someone who has lost her source of
income upon the death, divorce, separation, disability, or
dislocation of a spouse or pending loss of public assistance
benefits.
If you do not meet these criteria, you are not eligible to apply for
this scholarship.
Remember, it is never too late to donate to this annual scholarship!
